Learn about Passive Solar Design

Full Description:

Solar Oregon bills their Passive Solar Building Design Workshop as "a practical how-to for beginners," so don't be scared off by the technical-sounding name--passive solar just means collecting and using the sun's energy without the use of mechanical devices like fans or motors. 

 Learn about the science of passive solar technology, and how to put it in practice with building design, architecture, and materials.  You'll also learn how to use that knowledge to take advantage of the $1500 Oregon State Residential Energy Tax Credit. 

When: Saturday, July 18th, 9-11:30 AM
